A ‘Freaky Faces’ thank you, maintenance continues and other news.

We just wanted to update you on what has been happening here over the last few weeks.

WORKS IN AREA 12

Firstly, we just wanted to let you know about works going on in Area 12 woodland which is happening today. We do have signage is in place.

FURTHER UPDATES

• We have now installed all the new SANGS boards around the site including the 'you are here' markers.

• You may have noticed the Ragwort that had grown in area 7, we have made great progress in removing this and will continue to clear this area to make it safe for the cattle to graze.

• We have been topping up pathways with new material

• The cows have had their annual TB testing and we are very happy to confirm we are all clear for another year.

• You may have noticed one of the cows has undergone an operation, we are pleased to say she is all well and healed

• In the next couple of weeks our bull, Boris, will be leaving the herd

• As we are coming into that time of year again where we may experience extreme weather, please look out for fallen trees and alert the warden at any time of the day. We are regularly out monitoring the trees and trimming loose branches. (see photo of tree we cleared promptly recently).

• We have had to remove some self made bike jumps that were found in the woodlands as this is not allowed on the nature reserve as it is destructive to the natural area.

• We have been removing fly tipped rubbish around the site and disposing of this, please report any fly tipping you may come across so we can get this dealt with.

FREAKY FACES

Secondly, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along and took part in our Freaky Faces event at Naishes Lane SANGS!

It was wonderful to meet you and we couldn't have asked for better weather - what a beautiful day. We have included a few pictures below of a couple of our participants and some of our Freaky Faces.

Speaking of which... there's still time to enter our competition to win one of three 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' book sets, courtesy of #taylorwimpey

We walked here with our children over half term and really enjoyed finding the faces. Thank you.
